X Video Ecosystem Revamp In Works: Elon Musk's X (formerly Twitter) is putting its best effort into transforming the platform into an "everything" app. The company is now working on a "new video ecosystem with its partners," CEO Linda Yaccarino shared on X. This update comes amid the rise of the platform during the coverage of the recently concluded Consumer Electronics Show (CES) 2024.
X handle @XData shared that over 3.2 lakh users posted about the mega tech show. The X-affiliated account said these posts generated 300 million impressions, about 2.5 million likes, and more than 65 million video views in the four days of the event, which "are up over 100 per cent year-over-year." The tech showcase witnessed significant changes in AI, mobility, consumer electronics and more.
Reacting to the update, Yaccarino added that X became the "pulse" of the conversation around the event. X owner and Tesla CEO reposted Yaccarino's comments. These figures are iterative of the platform's commitment towards other avenues such as shopping, payments, AI and hiring. The platform is working in full swing to facilitate monetary payments on the app.

Plus, the recruitment service is already live on the platform for Verified Organisations. As for videos, the platform has introduced the option to download videos, make video and audio calls and allow X Premium accounts to upload longer videos and more. The search filters will roll out for iOS first, the X Designer added. With the enhancement, users will be able to filter posts via several parameters. These include: From, Date posted, Language, Post activity, Near you, Exclude replies and more options.
