X (formerly called Twitter) has been adding features at lightning speeds to enhance the user experience. And in a push to make the app an all-in-one package, the microblogging site is betting big on videos. In this endeavour, the company regularly brings new features concerning video content on the platform. In the latest move, an X engineer confirmed that the clickable timestamps are in the works and shall debut soon.

Responding to a staff member (@enriquebrgn) on X, senior software engineer Jonah Katz (@dinkin_flickaa) shared that the implementation of clickable timestamps on videos on X is "almost there."

When another user posted, "Interested to see what character is decided to indicate a timestamp or if you will be able to just directly link the time without a leading character on video posts," the engineer added, "The latter is what we're trying first."

In another set of updates, X News Daily (@xDaily) posted that Elon Musk's platform is also working on an 'immersive video' player with a 'swipe to dismiss' option to move out of videos that may arrive soon.
