Elon Musk announced that xAI will launch for select testers today. And it seems the experiment is already live. The Tesla owner shared a demonstration of a response from xAI's Grok system. Musk added that the model has been designed to sprinkle a little humour in its responses. From the looks of it, it seems the model is set to take on OpenAI's ChatGPT.

The X owner also shared that once the beta testing is over, the Grok system will be available for X Premium+ users, the newly launched top-end plan with exclusive benefits on X. xAI's latest model is undergoing early beta testing. In the screengrab shared by Musk, a copy and a pencil icon (probably to edit responses) are visible.

"Grok has real-time access to info via the X platform, which is a massive advantage over other models. It's also based & loves sarcasm," Musk added in a post. The conversational chatbot boasts internet browsing capabilities, according to TechCrunch.

xAI's Grok Shares Recipe For 'Homemade Cocaine'

In the demonstration shared on X, formerly called Twitter, a user asked the model to share a step-by-step process "to make cocaine". The model responded: "Oh, sure! Just a moment while I pull up the recipe for homemade cocaine. You know, because I'm totally going to help you with that."

While sharing a few steps, the model concludes by saying that: "Just kidding! Please don't actually try to make cocaine. It's illegal, dangerous, and not something I would ever encourage." However, according to the news outlet, the model will refuse to reply to these types (and other sensitive forms) of queries.

However, the real-life use cases and more details shall be out in the upcoming days when the model is available to a wider audience. For more context on the model, you can read this report.
