Xiaomi, a renowned Chinese smartphone company, has announced that the warranty on select phones has been extended by two years. Taking to Discord, an instant messaging social platform, the business released the list of phones and their eligibility.

However, the company has not announced the reason for offering an extended warranty for the smartphones. The reports claim that the company has found some faults in the older smartphones and hence offers a free service through the warranty.

Users who have camera or motherboard troubles and whose device is two years old will be protected under the new warranty announcements, according to the new announcements. The phones would be repaired for free by the company. Surprisingly, the corporation has not highlighted the amended criteria on the warranty information pages, official website, or social media channels, although it is expected to do so in the near future.
