Xiaomi 14 Series and HyperOS Launch: Xiaomi, a Chinese smartphone maker, announced its new HyperOS recently, which will debut on select Xiaomi, Redmi, and POCO devices soon. In the latest series, the company has now confirmed the launch date of the new OS and its flagship - Xiaomi 14 series.

The new smartphone series will debut on October 26. This date coincides with the launch of the HyperOS and Watch S3. These offerings will be announced in the country's homeland. No official details around the debut of the handset in India are live.

Xiaomi 14 Series Launch: What To Expect

The series will reportedly consist of two models: Xiaomi 14 and Xiaomi 14 Pro, which could be the first handsets to have a Snapdragon 8 Gen 3 chip. Based on a recent poster leaked online, the Xiaomi 14 could have a 6.44-inch OLED 120Hz screen with a peak brightness of up to 2,800nits.

The device may offer up to 16GB RAM and 1TB internal storage. It will likely have a 4,600mAh battery with 90W wired and 50W wireless charging. As for the optics, the handset could have a 50MP main, 50MP ultrawide and 50MP telephoto lens.

Xiaomi HyperOS: Everything We Know

The company aims to be at the "centre" of the universe with HyperOS. According to a report from Gizmochina, this cross-platform OS will support interoperability across smartwatches, tablets, and Xiaomi's electronic vehicles. The new announcement was teased by Cici Wei, a Xiaomi executive, on Weibo.

"HyperOS is one of the most user-oriented operating systems that Xiaomi has ever created. We have been secretly developing the operating system over the past seven years, with our brand's 13 years of expertise condensed into the work. HyperOS will be a system that can connect the user, the car, and the home, serving its purpose as the centre of your technological universe," the text concerning the new OS read, according to the report.

The event will begin at 07:00 PM (04:30 PM IST) on October 26 local time.
