Elon Musk's microblogging platform X (formerly called Twitter) introduced its updated adult content policy a few weeks ago. With the move, the company allowed the sharing of consensual adult nudity on the microblogging platform. While introducing the new policy, the company stated users under the age of 18 and those who have not entered their date of birth cannot view the labelled content. However, the adult content may still appear on accounts over the age of 18.
X has offered several methods to restrict such content for users who may disable them from the settings. If you want to limit adult content on your X feed, here are the measures you can use.
X Adult Content: How To Restrict On Feed?
Step 1: Head to your X app from your Android or iOS-running device
Step 2: Tap on your profile picture and choose the "Settings and Privacy" option within "Settings and Support"
Step 3: From the "Privacy and Safety" option head to the "Content you see"
Step 4: Choose the "Sensitive media" option
Step 5: Tap "Adult Content" and adjust the Setting to "Warn" or "Never show this"
On top of this, you can block posts with certain words related to pornography on the app. X does not send notifications for posts or recommend such posts in the Home timeline. From the "Mute and block" option within the "Privacy and Safety", you can add "Muted words" for your accounts. Press the blue "+" icon to get started. Most of the adult content will now be restricted from your account.

While highlighting its May 2024 policy, X said it will restrict "exposure to Adult Content for children or adult users who choose not to see it". Sharing Adult Content in profile photos or banners is not allowed. "Users under 18 or viewers who do not include a birth date on their profile cannot click to view marked content," X's Help Center noted.
