Hyderabad News: The Delhi Police Special Cell has arrested a man from Hyderabad who is wanted by the National Investigation Agency (NIA) for his alleged involvement in the illegal trafficking of Indian youths across international borders and exploiting them in fake call centres. The police informed that the accused was arrested after a relentless 2,500-km chase across state.

The police stated that it was not easy to detect the location of Kamran Haider, the accused, as he kept changing locations frequently in order to delay the arrest. However, he was finally detained after several months of coordinated operations across multiple states. He was arrested in Hyderabad just before he was about to depart for the next location.

Deputy Commissioner of Police (Special Cell) Manoj C stated that police arrested the accused after a long chase. “After a long persevering chase of 2,500 km, Kamran Haider alias Zaidi was nabbed from Hyderabad,” Manoj C was quoted as saying by the Deccan Chronicle.

The NIA had announced a reward of Rs 2 lakh on information leading to the arrest of Haider after a case was registered against him at New Friends Colony police station on May 27. Naresh Lakhavath, the complainant, said that he came across Ali International Service, a consultancy firm based in New Delhi, while searching for a job. The DCP said that the complainant was forced to work for a Chinese company that scammed Indian people.

“The firm offered him a job in Thailand and Laos and he was eventually sent to Thailand. But when he reached there, his passport was snatched and he was forced to work for a Chinese company which used to scam Indian people online,” the DCP was quoted as saying by the Deccan Chronicle.

The case was later transferred to the NIA, which identified Manjoor Alam, Sahil, Ashish, Pawan Yadav, and Haider as key conspirators. The NIA also decoded that all the accused operated through Ali International Services.
