Hyderabad News: The six-lane flyover from Aramghar to Nehru Zoological Park in Hyderabad is completed and set to be inaugurated by Telangana Chief Minister Revanth Reddy on Monday. The four-kilometer-long, six-lane flyover was constructed at a cost of Rs 736 crore. The foundation stone by CM would be laid for underpasses and flyovers around KBR National Park in Jubilee Hills. 

The much-hyped flyover will reduce traffic congestion in the key areas of the capital city of Telangana, and it will also improve connectivity across major areas of the city. The flyover was built under the Strategic Road Development Programme (SRDP) and will have an impact in the areas nearby. A press release informed that around 2000 buses TGRTC and private buses originating from Mahatma Gandhi Bus Stop (MGBS) in Imlibun leaving to various cities will have a smoother journey because of this flyover.

The flyover from Aramghar to Nehru Zoological Park is the second-longest flyover in the city after the 11-km-long PVNR Expressway. The expressway will connect Aramghar to the Old City areas and is constructed with a six-lane grade separator and a bi-directional structure. The press release also informed that the flyover is constructed considering the long-term utilisation and it stands on 127 foundations. It is designed keeping in view the traffic issue for the next two decades at least.

The flyover from Aramghar to Nehru Zoological Park will accommodate the rapid urbanisation and increasing traffic congestion in the capital city of Telangana. The flyover is expected to relieve pressure on the road networks of the city, provide smoother access to Nehru Zoological Park and surrounding areas, and enhance transit for daily commuters and tourists alike. Besides, the flyover is likely to reduce traffic congestion at several major junctions, including Aramghar, Shahtripuram, Kalapathar, Darul-Uloom, and Shivarampally, Hassannagar, and RGI Airport via the flyover.
