Hyderabad News: The Cyberabad Police disrupted a drug party at a hotel and arrested four individuals, including choreographer Kanha Mahanthi, in Madhapur, authorities informed on Monday. The police also seized various drugs at the party organised by architect Priyanka Reddy and Kanha Mahanthi, a well-known choreographer who worked in popular TV shows such as ‘Dhee’, reported Telangana Today.
The police informed that they seized substances such as MDMA, LSD, and charas, valued at Rs 4.18 lakh, from the party and further stated that a resident of Andhra Pradesh introduced the choreographer, a prominent architect from Chandanagar, and a young woman from Gudivada in Krishna district and planned the drug party. The police also said that they sourced the drugs from Bangalore, Bizz Buzz reported.
The police conducted the raid upon receiving a tip-off and seized six mobile phones along with the drugs in the raid. Cases were registered against the people who got detained, and they have been remanded. Despite Telangana government's efforts to transform the state into a drug-free zone, drug seizures continue to occur across various parts of the state.
