Hyderabad News: Stray Dog Attack On Boy Leaves Family In Need Of Rs 3 lakh For His Surgery

Hyderabad News: A five-year-old child suffered severe injuries after a dog suddenly jumped at him and bit him in Tappachabutra, Hyderabad. The incident was captured on a nearby CCTV camera. In the video, the young child can be seen coming from a side alley, not paying attention to his surroundings, while deeply engrossed in playing with a toy he was holding.

Unexpectedly, a dog crossing their path abruptly attacked the child, causing the child to tumble to the ground. Onlookers quickly intervened, chasing the dog away. A nearby woman was the first one to rush to the boy's aid.

But, the dog also attempted to attack the woman, after which a passerby promptly stepped in, scaring off the dog by hurling a stone and preventing any further harm. According to reports, the boy's treatment after the stray dog attack will cost him Rs 3 lakh.

This came in the backdrop of a number of stray dog attacks in the city over the past few months, with occasional reports of injuries and fatalities. In February of this year, stray dogs killed a 4-year-old boy from Amberpet by mauling him to death.
