Hyderabad News: A 4-year-old nursery student was allegedly badly beaten by a female staff member at a private school in Hyderabad, leading to concern over children's safety at educational institutions. The officials stated that the incident unfolded on Saturday in Jeedimetla's Shapur Nagar, adding that the accused was allegedly frustrated over fear of losing his job. In a video circulated on the social media platforms, the staffer is seen striking the child and pushing her on the ground, leading to an outrage. Lakshmi, the accused, was allegedly involved in a rivalry with the child's mother and was scared of losing her job.
While providing details, the officials stated that the incident unfolded after school hours when the victim's mother was not present there. They further stated that the victim's mother had gone to drop off the children at multiple locations, as she has been working as a bus conductor. The accused took the child to an isolated area and hit her multiple times before pushing her on the ground. The incident came under notice after one of the neighbours recorded it secretly and later shared it with the victim's mother.

The Jeedimetla police inspector stated that the accused was in fear of losing her job to her junior, the mother of the victim. Lakshmi and the victim's mother were not on good terms, and the accused was frustrated over the rivalry, possibly leading to the incident. Lakshmi was later taken into custody after the victim's mother filed a criminal case. However, the authority assured that such incidents have not occurred in the recent past, further assuring strong action.

In a separate incident in Tamil Nadu, a woman was brutally killed by her estranged husband on Sunday inside a women's hostel. The officials stated that the accused had visited the hostel to meet his estranged wife; however, he killed her after a heated argument. Apart from this, the accused also took a selfie with her dead body and posted it on his WhatsApp status, accusing her of betrayal in the caption.
