Hyderabad Traffic Advisory: Hyderabad Traffic Police have announced a traffic advisory ahead of Eid-ul-Fitr prayers on Monday, March 31, to manage expected congestion near key prayer sites.
Large gatherings are anticipated at Mir Alam Tank Eidgah near Zoo Park and Hockey Ground in Masab Tank between 7 AM and 11:30 AM As a result, traffic movement may be affected in several areas, including Bahadurpura, Kalapather, Nawab Saheb Kunta, Shastripuram, Danamma Huts, Masab Tank, NMDC, Khaja Mansion and PTI Junction.

Motorists have been advised to use alternative routes and plan their journeys accordingly. The public is encouraged to stay updated through Hyderabad Traffic Police’s official pages on Facebook (@HYDTP) and X (@HYDTP). In separate news, L&T Metro Rail (Hyderabad) Limited (L&TMRHL) has announced extended metro timings to cater to increasing commuter demand. Starting April 1, the last train from all terminal stations will depart at 11:45 PM instead of 11 PM, from Monday to Friday. Additionally, the first train on Sundays will now start at 7 AM, while weekday services will continue from 6 AM.

These changes were revealed during the Hyderabad Metro Art Fest closing ceremony. In a significant move for students, the metro’s student pass scheme has been extended until March 31, 2026, offering 30 trips for the price of 20. However, the super saver holiday and off-peak discount schemes will end on March 31.
To enhance last-mile connectivity, Hyderabad Metro’s partner, SVIDA Mobility, has expanded its fleet to 200 feeder vehicles, expected to serve over 16,000 daily passengers, improving convenience and reducing travel gaps.
