Hyderabad Traffic Advisory: Hyderabad's Yousufguda area, particularly around the Kotla Vijaya Bhaskar Reddy (KVBR) Stadium, is expected to experience traffic congestion on Friday evening due to restrictions in place for the pre-release event of the film Daaku Maharaaj. The event will take place at the Yousufguda Battalion, Police Lines from 4 PM to 10 PM.

Hyderabad Traffic Advisory

To manage the anticipated traffic, Hyderabad Traffic Police have issued an advisory outlining several diversion points. Vehicles coming from Jubilee Hills Check Post heading towards KVBR Stadium will be redirected at Krishna Nagar Junction towards Sri Nagar Colony and Panjagutta. Additionally, traffic from Maitrivanam Junction heading to Jubilee Hills Check Post and Madhapur will be diverted at Yousufguda Basti towards RBI Quarters, Krishna Nagar Junction and Jubilee Hills Check Post.

Those travelling from Maitrivanam Junction towards Borabanda Bus Stop will be diverted via Savera Function Hall, Krishnakanth Park, GTS Temple, Kalyan Nagar and Mothi Nagar. Conversely, traffic from Borabanda Bus Stop heading to Maitrivanam Junction will follow a different route, diverting at Prime Garden.

Parking for four-wheelers is available at Janakamma Thota, Savera Function Hall, and Mahamood Function Hall. Motorists are advised to plan their routes accordingly to avoid delays.

In separate news, Telangana Chief Minister A. Revanth Reddy directed officials to prepare detailed project reports (DPRs) for extending metro rail to Future City, Shamirpet and Medchal. The DPRs must be completed by March, with steps taken to secure Central government approval before inviting tenders by April. Land acquisition for the proposed routes—Rajiv Gandhi International Airport to Future City (40 km), JBS to Shamirpet (22 km), and Paradise-Medchal (23 km)—is to be expedited. The CM emphasized designing elevated corridors for future needs and improving facilities at key junctions to reduce city congestion.
