Hyderabad Traffic Advisory: The Hyderabad Traffic Police has announced temporary traffic diversions in parts of the Kulsumpura area following sewerage repair work being taken up by the water board.

According to an advisory issued on January 23, excavation work is underway to fix a leakage in a sewerage pipeline. The repair stretch lies between Laxmi Nagar near pillar number 68 and Balika Bhavan, under the limits of the Kulsumpura traffic police station.

The traffic changes will remain in force for two days, from January 24 to January 25, while the repair work is completed.

Hyderabad Traffic Diversion Details

Commuters are advised to note the following arrangements during this period:

  • Vehicles coming from Attapur will not be allowed to move directly towards Balika Bhavan and the flour mill.

  • Such vehicles will be diverted at pillar number 68.

  • The alternative route will be via Rethibowli and Nanal Nagar.

  • From there, motorists can proceed towards Balika Bhavan and the flour mill.

Hyderabad Advisory For Commuters

Traffic police have urged motorists to plan their travel in advance and allow extra time while passing through the affected area. Commuters have also been requested to cooperate with on-ground personnel managing the traffic flow.

In separate news, Hyderabad is experiencing what meteorologists describe as a “mixed winter”, with cold mornings and nights followed by warm, summer-like afternoons. According to the India Meteorological Department (IMD), this pattern, along with early morning fog and mist, is likely to continue until the second week of February. 

The difference between day and night temperatures has widened to around 12 degrees Celsius to 15 degrees Celsius across the city and nearby districts. From January 24 to 29, maximum temperatures are expected to remain between 29 degrees Celsius  and 31 degrees Celsius, while minimum temperatures will range from 15 degrees Celsius  to 17 degrees Celsius. A slight rise in temperatures is forecast in early February, with no sudden heat spike expected.
