Hyderabad Traffic Advisory: Several Areas To Remain Affected Due To Mala Simha Gharjana Meeting; Check Alternate Routes

The Hyderabad police on Sunday announced traffic restrictions and parking arrangements ahead of the Mala Simha Gharjana meeting scheduled to take place on December 1 at Parade Grounds, Secunderabad. A massive crowd is expected to address the meeting, which might lead to traffic congestion in the area. The police informed that the event will be held from 1.00 pm to 8.00 pm, and commuters were advised to plan their travel accordingly to avoid inconvenience. 

The police also released a list of the routes that could get affected because of the event. Two of the busiest routes are going to be Panjagutta-Greenlands-Begumpet to Secunderabad Parade Grounds and Tivoli X-roads to Plaza X-roads. Apart from these routes, these are the key areas where heavy congestion is expected:

2. Alugaddabai Roads
3. Sangeeth X-roads
4. YMCA Roads
5. Patny X-roads
6. SBH X-roads
7. Plaza Junction
8. CTO Junction
9. Brookbond Junction
10. Tivoli Junction
11. Sweekar Upakar Junction
12. Secunderabad Club
13. Trimulgherry X-roads
14. Tadbund X-roads
15. Centre Point
16. Diamond Point
17. Bowenpally X-roads
18. Rasoolpura
19. Paradise

The police have also advised the commuters to avoid MG Road, RP Road, and SD Road during the meeting hours. Some of the routes are also diverted to ease the traffic congestion. The traffic from Alugaddabai/Secunderabad Railway Station is diverted at Sangeeth X-roads towards Clock Tower, Patny, and Paradise. Traffic from Tukaramgate has been diverted at St. John’s Rotary towards Sangeeth, Clock Tower, and Patny. Apart from this, the traffic from Sangeeth X-roads to Begumpet is diverted at YMCA towards Clock Tower, Patny, and CTO. The police also informed that the traffic from Begumpet to Sangeeth X-roads is diverted at CTO X-roads towards Balamrai, Brooke Bond, Tivoli, and St. John’s Rotary.

The traffic from Bowenpally/Tadbund to Tivoli is diverted at Brook Bond towards CTO, Ranigunj, and Tank Bund. While the traffic from Karkhana/JBS to SBH-Patny is diverted at Sweekar Upakar towards YMCA or Tivoli, the traffic from Jubilee Hills Check Post to Begumpet is diverted at Panjagutta towards Khairtabad or Greenlands towards Raj Bhavan. Apart from this, the train passengers were advised to leave early and consider using the metro services.
