Hyderabad Water Cut: Hyderabad will experience a water supply disruption today, September 23 affecting areas such as Hakimpet, Golconda, Doyens colony, Tolichowki, Langer Houz, Shaikpet, Film Nagar, Madhapur, Jubilee Hills, Thatti Khana, Kondapur and Gachibowli.
The Hyderabad Metropolitan Water Supply & Sewerage Board has announced that this interruption is due to necessary repairs on the 1200mm diameter gravity main pipeline between Prashasan Nagar and Ayyappa Society. This pipeline is essential for delivering drinking water to the city through the Krishna Phase 3 project. The service disruption will last for 24 hours, starting at 6 AM today
Hyderabad Weather News
The announcement follows heavy rains that lashed the city on Friday night, ending a nearly ten-day dry spell. The India Meteorological Department (IMD) has forecasted a generally cloudy day for Saturday, September 21, with the likelihood of light to moderate rain or thunderstorms and gusty winds.
Rainfall was widespread across the city, with numerous areas recording significant amounts. The Telangana Development Planning Society stated that some regions received over 60 mm of rain, resulting in water stagnation in various locations. To address this, Disaster Response Force (DRF) teams from Hyderabad Disaster Response and Assets Monitoring and Protection (HYDRAA), along with traffic police, worked to clear waterlogged areas to maintain traffic flow.

Hyderabad Weather Forecast
The IMD has warned of continued rain for the next two days, with isolated heavy showers expected in Hyderabad and surrounding districts. Residents are urged to stay informed about the weather and prepare for possible disruptions.
