Hyderabad Water Cut: The Hyderabad Metropolitan Water Supply and Sewerage Board (HMWSSB) on Monday stated that several parts of Hyderabad will witness water supply disruption for 20 hours due to the maintenance works. The authority stated that the supply will be disrupted as it will conduct urgent maintenance work on the Krishna Drinking Water Supply Project pipelines. The HMWSSB stated that the services will be restored after the maintenance works, adding that the services in multiple areas will be restored in less than 10 hours. The authority has advised the residents to follow the guidelines and plan their day accordingly to avoid any inconveniences.
While providing details, the authority stated that several key regions, including Shaikpet, Jubilee Hills, Filmnagar, Prashasan Nagar, Thattikhana, Gachibowli, Madhapur, Ayyappa Society, and Kavuri Hills, will witness power outages between 11 am on September 1 and 7 am on September 2. The HMWSSB stated that the major portion of the repair work will be conducted during the night hours to minimise the inconveniences. The authority advised the residents of these regions to store water for their basic needs and plan their day accordingly.
The authority also stated that the decision was taken after receiving multiple complaints from the residents, adding that similar works will be conducted in the upcoming months to improve the supply. The residents of multiple regions have also registered complaints regarding waterlogging due to the continuous rainfall in the city. The waterlogging in some of the key areas of the city has affected the vehicular movement, leading to the inconveniences.

The residents stated that while the rainfall has provided relief from the heat by reducing the temperature by two to four degrees Celsius, it has affected the vehicular movement.
