Hyderabad Rain Update: The India Meteorological Department (IMD) on Thursday stated that several regions of Hyderabad are likely to receive light to moderate rainfall in the upcoming few days. Apart from rainfall, the residents of these regions are also expected to experience thunderstorms and gusty winds. The weather department clarified that the rainfall will reduce the temperature by two to four degrees Celsius, providing major relief from the scorching heat. It also advised the residents to follow the guidelines and limit their outings to avoid any inconveniences.

While the rainfall is likely to provide relief from the heat, it might also lead to some issues, such as waterlogging and power outages. The weather department stated that several regions of the city, including Saidabad, Musheerabad, Asifnagar, Amberpet, Charminar, Nampally, and Khairatabad, are expected to witness rainfall till May 18. The IMD added that while the maximum temperature till Sunday is likely to be calculated at 36 degrees Celsius, the minimum temperature is expected to be calculated at 26 degrees Celsius.

Rainfall Expected In Multiple Districts 

Apart from Hyderabad, several other Telangana districts, including Adilabad, Kumuram Bheem Asifabad, Mancherial, Nirmal, Nizamabad, Medak, Sangareddy, and Vikarabad, are expected to receive light to heavy rainfall till May 18. The IMD has already issued an orange alert for a major part of the state on May 15 and 16 and a yellow alert for May 17 and 18. Apart from rainfall, these districts are also likely to receive thunderstorms and gusty winds. The weather department has advised the residents of the coastal regions to follow the guidelines and limit their outings to avoid inconveniences.

Apart from this, the weather department also stated that several districts of Andhra Pradesh, including Alluri Sitarama Raju, Parvathipuram Manyam, Srikakulam, Anakapalli, Kakinada, East Godavari, and Eluru, are likely to receive rainfall along with thunderstorms and gusty winds for the next few days.
