Hyderabad News: A 38-year-old YouTuber, Prasad Behera, was arrested in Hyderabad on Wednesday for allegedly sexually harassing a 32-year-old woman who co-starred with him in a web series. The police confirmed that a case was filed at the Jubilee Hills Police Station following the woman's complaint.

According to the police report, the woman accused Behera of abusing and misbehaving with her multiple times during the filming of the web series. After the complaint was lodged, authorities acted immediately, leading to his arrest. Behera has since been remanded to police custody for 14 days.

The police have charged him under several sections of the law, including 75(2), 79 and 351(2)BNS. Following his arrest, Behera was presented in court, where he was ordered to remain in remand.

Prasad Behera gained fame through popular web series such as "Ma Varamundu," "Pelli Varamundi," and "Mechanic." He recently received recognition for his role in the film "Committee Kurraallu."

Notably, the victim has previously worked alongside Behera in the web series and both were employed by the same YouTube channel. The harassment reportedly began during their first meeting while filming. The woman stated that despite her attempts to address his behaviour, it continued. She claimed that on December 11, Behera assaulted her while she was returning home from the shoot. After enduring multiple incidents of harassment, she decided to seek help from the police.

In separate news, a case has been registered against 30-year-old YouTuber Bhanuchander alias Anchor Chandu for throwing bundles of Rs 200 notes on Hyderabad's Outer Ring Road (ORR), causing a public nuisance. His viral video challenged viewers to collect the money, leading to a traffic jam and safety concerns. Police arrested him after the ORR patrolling team intervened. The YouTuber faces charges under multiple sections, including the National Highway Act.
