A tragic stampede-like incident at the premiere of Pushpa 2: The Rule at Sandhya Theatre, Hyderabad, claimed the life of a woman and left her young son critically injured. While the boy remains hospitalized, producer Allu Aravind, father of lead actor Allu Arjun, recently visited the victim and shared an update on his condition.

Allu Aravind met the injured boy, Sri Tej, in the ICU and later released a video statement to the press. Speaking about the boy’s recovery, he said, “I just visited Sri Tej in the ICU and spoke to the doctors. He has been recovering slowly over the last 10 days, but it may take more time for him to fully heal. We are committed to supporting his recovery in any way possible. I am also grateful to the government for stepping in to help him regain normalcy.”

Addressing questions about Allu Arjun’s absence at the hospital, Aravind explained that the actor had initially planned to visit the victims the day after the incident. However, hospital authorities advised against it due to safety concerns. Aravind further added, “The same day a case was filed against him, which complicated the situation. Our legal team, led by Niranjan Reddy, has advised Bunny not to visit the hospital or meet the family at this time.”

Aravind shared that he sought and received permission from the authorities to visit the boy on behalf of his son. He expressed gratitude to Telangana Chief Minister Revanth Reddy, the police, and hospital officials for facilitating his visit.

The tragic event occurred on December 4, when Allu Arjun, along with co-star Rashmika Mandanna and his wife Allu Sneha Reddy, visited Sandhya Theatre. The unannounced visit drew a massive crowd, leading to a stampede-like situation. A woman lost her life in the chaos, and her son sustained severe injuries.

Following the incident, the Chikkadapally Police registered a case against Allu Arjun and the theatre management for failing to inform law enforcement about the actor’s visit. Arjun was arrested on December 13 and held overnight at Chanchalaguda Central Jail. He was later granted interim bail by the Telangana High Court after spending a night in custody. In his public statement, Allu Arjun expressed deep sorrow over the tragedy and assured his support to the affected family. Meanwhile, the legal case continues, with authorities investigating the incident and its handling by the theatre management.
