Hyderabad Traffic Advisory: The Telangana Traffic Police have issued a comprehensive advisory to the public regarding the anticipated traffic diversions and parking arrangements in Secunderabad ahead of the upcoming Bonalu festival. The announcement comes as the city prepares to welcome the annual celebrations, which are set to commence from July 21 and continue until July 22.

Hyderabad: Several Roads Blocked In Secunderabad

According to the advisory, several major roads and junctions in the Secunderabad area will be closed to vehicular traffic from midnight on 21 July until the conclusion of the festival. This includes the Karbala Maidan, Ranigunj, Old Ramgopalpet, Paradise, Plaza, SBI Road, YMCA Roads, St. John's Rotary, Sangeeth Road, Patny Road, Park Lane, Bata and Ghasmandi Roads, as well as the Bible House, Ministers Road and Rasoolpura.

Travel Advice For Secunderabad Railway Station

The traffic police have urged the general public, particularly those intending to travel by train from Secunderabad Railway Station, to plan their journeys accordingly and allow extra time to reach their destinations. Commuters are advised to use the entry from Platform No. 10 on the Chilkalguda side, as traffic congestion is expected near Platform No. 1 during the Bonalu procession.

Sri Ujjaini Mahakali Temple Roads Closed

Furthermore, the roads leading to the Sri Ujjaini Mahankali Temple, such as Tobacco Bazar, Audiah Roads, Audaiah Roads and General Bazar, will be completely closed to all vehicles. Subhash Road, from Bata X Roads up to Old Ramgopalpet, will also be off-limits to traffic.

The advisory urges devotees participating in the Bonalu festival to park their vehicles only in the designated areas to avoid congestion. Commuters are encouraged to use alternative routes to circumvent the affected areas.
