Hyderabad Traffic Advisory: The Cyberabad traffic police have issued a traffic advisory in view of the ongoing SRDP Shilpa Layout Phase-II flyover works being undertaken by the Greater Hyderabad Municipal Corporation (GHMC). The works are expected to be carried out around five days, starting from July 29 July to August 2.
Accordingly, the police have advised commuters to avoid the route between Kothaguda – Rolling Hills to Gachibowli Junction during this time period. "The road width between ZP High School towards Gachibowli junction will be reduced to an extent of 3 meters. We are expecting traffic congestion in this stretch and request commuters to plan accordingly," said a press release issued by the traffic police.

Meanwhile, the city has been experiencing heavy rainfall over the past week, which has led to overflowing streams, brimming reservoirs and ponds resembling full pots. The Hyderabad Meteorological Center officials have once again issued rain warnings for Telangana, stating that the state will witness heavy showers for the next two days due to the effect of a low-pressure area formed in the North Bay of Bengal.

The officials have predicted the possibility of heavy rains in districts such as Rajanna Sirisilla, Warangal, Kamareddy, Karimnagar, Manchiryala, Hanmakonda, Jagityala, Bhupalapalli, Mulugu, Nirmal, Peddapalli and Nizamabad and has issued a yellow alert. Moderate rains are likely in Mahabubnagar, Narayanapet, Vikarabad, Nalgonda, Rangareddy, Medak, Sangareddy, Suryapet, Yadadri Bhuvanagari and Nagar Kurnool districts.
While Hyderabad is expected to experience dry weather in the morning, showers are likely to occur across the city in the afternoon or evening, the officials stated.
