The total length of the flyover, including its approaches, is 430 metres to Nallagandla and 550 metres to Tellapur, featuring 16 spans (10 towards Tellapur and six towards Nallagandla). This new infrastructure aims to ease congestion in the IT corridors of Hitec-City and the Financial District, benefiting both IT employees and other commuters travelling along the Outer Ring Road (ORR).

Originally scheduled to open last month, the flyover's inauguration was delayed due to the recent Lok Sabha elections. Now, as the much annticipated flyover is open for public, residents are hopeful that the new flyover will provide relief from the area's persistent traffic woes.

In a separate announcement, the Chief Minister has revealed plans for a investment of Rs 1.5 Lakh crore over the next five years to develop Greater Hyderabad and the Musi River. The funds will be allocated for various projects and initiatives aimed at enhancing the city's infrastructure and revitalising the river.

Inaugurating the bi-directional flyover at Gopanpally Thanda, Revanth Reddy acknowledged the city's expansion plans, which involve the construction and improvement of radial roads connecting the ORR with the Regional Ring Road. These infrastructure projects are designed to enhance connectivity and accommodate Hyderabad's growing urban population by expanding the city's boundaries.
