A UAE-based retailer Lulu Group inaugurated its first shopping mall in Hyderabad on Wednesday, marking its entry into the city’s retail market after opening similar shopping malls in Bengaluru, Coimbatore, Kochi, Lucknow and Thiruvananthapuram. To establish its presence in Telangana’s capital, the Lulu Group has invested Rs 300 crore in the mall, which was previously known as Manjeera Mall in Kukatpally.
The mall was inaugurated by Telangana IT and Industries Minister K T Rama Rao, who was accompanied by Lulu Group chairman and managing director Yusuff Ali MA. The minister appreciated the group’s commitment to invest Rs 3,500 crore in various projects in the state, including a destination mall and a food processing facility.
Lulu Mall in Hyderabad offers a wide range of facilities and amenities for shoppers, such as 75 domestic and international brands that have a variety of products and services for customers. It also has a five-screen cinema hall with a seating capacity of 1400 persons and a multi-cuisine food court that can accommodate about 500 people.

Lulu Mall also has six restaurants that cater to different cuisines and also features an entertainment zone of about 20,000 sq ft that offers fun and games for all ages. It also has ample parking space for about 1,000 cars and 900 bikes. The mall will create about 1,500 direct jobs and about 2,000 indirect jobs for the local people.
