Prime Minister Narendra Modi offered his condolences to the families of those who lost their lives in the tragic accident near Mirjaguda in Chevella mandal, Rangareddy district. He announced financial assistance of Rs 2 lakh each for the next of kin of the deceased and Rs 50,000 for the injured from the Prime Minister’s National Relief Fund (PMNRF). The accident, which occurred on the Hyderabad-Bijapur highway about 60 km from Hyderabad, claimed at least 20 lives and left several others injured after a Telangana State Road Transport Corporation (TSRTC) bus collided with a gravel-laden truck.

How The Telangana Accident Took Place
The bus was en route from Tandur to Hyderabad when it was struck by the truck reportedly travelling at high speed from the wrong direction. The impact crushed the bus’s front section and trapped many passengers under the spilled gravel, triggering a major rescue operation involving emergency teams and heavy machinery.
Authorities confirmed that ten women and the bus driver were among the deceased. The injured were first taken to nearby medical facilities and later shifted to Hyderabad for advanced treatment. Chief Minister A. Revanth Reddy also expressed grief over the tragedy and ordered a detailed probe while instructing officials to ensure coordinated rescue and relief measures.

1. Around 5 a.m. on Monday, a gravel-laden lorry collided head-on with a Telangana State Road Transport Corporation (TSRTC) bus in Ranga Reddy district, killing at least 20 people and injuring several others.
2. The bus, carrying 70 passengers, was travelling from Tandur to Hyderabad when it was struck by the truck coming from the opposite direction.
