Hyderabad School Holiday: Schools in Hyderabad and across Telangana are gearing up to celebrate Christmas with a series of holidays. Most institutions will remain closed from December 24th to 26th, marking Christmas Eve, Christmas Day and Boxing Day.

According to a Siasat report, Christmas Eve, falling on December 24th, is listed as an optional holiday in the Telangana State Calendar. While some schools in Hyderabad may declare this as a holiday, others might operate as usual. However, December 25th is a public holiday across the state, commemorating the birth of Jesus Christ, a day celebrated worldwide with joy and devotion.

Boxing Day, observed on December 26th, is also a general holiday in the state calendar. This additional day off allows families to extend their celebrations, often engaging in charitable activities or spending time with loved ones.

Christmas is a globally celebrated festival that symbolises love, sharing and togetherness. Traditions like decorating trees, exchanging gifts and singing carols make it a time of joy and festivity.
