Hyderabad News: A student from Bhainsa in Telangana was rescued by police after being locked in a hotel room in Hyderabad for 20 days. The operation was carried out by SHE Teams Hyderabad following a distress message from the victim’s parents.
The student had been trapped by a friend she met on Instagram, who coerced her into travelling to Hyderabad. After calling her parents to reveal her situation, she shared her location via WhatsApp. Alarmed by her plight, her parents quickly travelled to Hyderabad and contacted SHE Teams for help.
Acting immediately, the SHE Teams located the girl in a locked hotel room in Narayanaguda. Police managed to rescue her within a short timeframe. A case has been filed at Narayanaguda Police Station against the accused under multiple sections of the BNS for repeatedly raping the victim and for wrongful restraint.
In a separate incident, SHE Teams also received a complaint from a student at a well-known culinary academy in Hyderabad. She reported ongoing harassment from some classmates, who had been teasing her and making inappropriate comments. Following a thorough investigation, a criminal case was registered against the offenders at Panjagutta Police Station.

In addition to taking legal action, SHE Teams have issued a stern warning to the culinary academy's administration, urging them to implement preventive measures to ensure the safety of their students.
SHE Teams, a dedicated unit of the Telangana police, have been instrumental in enhancing women's safety. An officer from the unit commended their quick and effective response to incidents of harassment, underscoring their commitment to protecting women in the community.
