Hyderabad Weather: The India Meteorological Department (IMD) has issued fresh warnings for heavy rainfall across several parts of Telangana, with intense showers likely to continue until July 24. As per the latest forecast, heavy to very heavy rainfall is expected in multiple districts, with alerts issued for both Monday and Tuesday.
Telangana Weather: Orange Alert
An orange alert has been announced for 18 districts, including Adilabad, Kumaram Bheem Asifabad, Mancherial, Nirmal, Nizamabad, Jagtial, Rajanna Sircilla, Karimnagar, Peddapalli, Jayashankar Bhupalpally, Mulugu, Bhadradri Kothagudem, Mahabubabad, Warangal, Hanumakonda, Jangaon, Siddipet and Kamareddy. These areas are likely to witness isolated spells of very heavy rain.
Telangana weather: Yellow Alert
Additionally, a yellow alert has been issued for 12 other districts. These are Khammam, Nalgonda, Suryapet, Yadadri Bhuvanagiri, Rangareddy, Hyderabad, Medchal Malkajgiri, Vikarabad, Sangareddy, Medak, Mahabubnagar and Nagarkurnool. These areas may see heavy rainfall, along with thunderstorms, lightning and gusty winds at isolated locations across all 33 districts.
Hyderabad Weather Forecast
For Hyderabad, the IMD has predicted moderate to heavy rain accompanied by thunderstorms, especially in the evening and night hours. The city is expected to have a generally cloudy sky, with maximum and minimum temperatures around 31 degrees Celsius and 23 degrees Celsius respectively. A yellow alert remains in place for Hyderabad till July 23.
Weather expert T. Balaji, known for his accurate updates, also forecasted heavy rainfall in parts of East, Central and South Telangana, especially from evening to early morning. North and West Telangana may receive heavy rain during the late afternoon, while Hyderabad could witness a couple of intense spells from late afternoon to morning.
Telangana Temperature
Due to the ongoing heavy showers, temperatures across Telangana have started to dip. The Telangana Development Planning Society reported that the lowest maximum temperature in the state, 29.4 degrees Celsius, was recorded in Rajanna Sircilla. In Hyderabad, the Maredpally area recorded a maximum temperature of 29.8 degrees Celsius.
The IMD has advised residents to stay alert and take necessary precautions in view of the continued monsoon activity.
