Telangana Weather Update: The India Meteorological Department (IMD) on Friday stated that several districts of Telangana, including the capital city Hyderabad, are likely to receive light to heavy rainfall on Saturday. The weather department stated that most of the districts of Telangana are likely to continue receiving rainfall for the next few days. It further stated that the rainfall is likely to provide relief from the scorching heat by reducing the temperature by two to four degrees Celsius. The rainfall has also led to other issues like waterlogging and power outages in several regions of the state. The IMD has advised the residents to follow the guidelines and limit their outings to avoid any inconveniences.

While providing details, the weather department stated that several regions, including Siddipet, Rangareddy, Hyderabad, Medchal Malkajgiri, Vikarabad, Sangareddy, Medak, Kamareddy, Mahabubnagar, and Nagarkurnool, are likely to receive light to heavy rainfall on Saturday and the next few days.

Apart from the continuous rainfall, these districts are also likely to witness thunderstorms and gusty winds at speeds of 50 to 60 kmph. The weather department has also advised the residents to limit their financial activities during the rainfall to avoid any inconveniences.

The IMD also stated that while the maximum temperature of Hyderabad is likely to be calculated at 32 degrees Celsius, the minimum temperature is expected to remain around 22 degrees Celsius.

“Moderate to heavy rain or thundershowers accompanied by gusty winds are very likely to occur in parts of the city towards evening or night. Hazy conditions are very likely to prevail during the morning hours. The maximum and minimum temperatures are likely to be around 32 degrees Celsius and 22 degrees Celsius, respectively,” the IMD bulletin was quoted as saying by The Hindu.

Apart from Telangana, several other states, including Kerala, Karnataka, Maharashtra, and Gujarat, are also likely to receive light to heavy rainfall in the upcoming few days.
