Gujarat Road Accident: Two people died and others got severely injured after a speeding car driven by cop's son rammed into them in Gujarat's Bhavnagar on Thursday. The incident happened in the Kaliyabeed area and the deceased were identified as Bhargav Bhatt, 30-year-old engineer and Champa Vachhani, 62-year-old woman. The accident created panic among the locals and they admitted the injured to a nearby hospital; however, two people succumbed to injuries. The police have arrested the accused and a detailed probe has been ordered into the matter.
Harshrajsinh Gohil, the accused was arrested from the spot and was handed over to the Nilambaug police station by his father Aniruddhsinh, an assistant sub-inspector in the Local Crime Branch (LCB), reported the Times of India.
While providing details, the officials stated that the incident happened around 4 pm on Thursday, adding that the accident was captured in the CCTVs, reported TOI. The CCTV footage shows that a over speeding car hit the victims while they were standing by the roadside. While the 30-year-old engineer died on the spot, the woman died while receiving the treatment.

While providing details, the officials stated that Bhatt got married few months back and was going back to his residence after the work, reported NDTV. Apart from this, Champa Vachhani was reportedly buying vegetables while the incident occurred. The reports also suggest that the accused is fond of car racing and drove the vehicle at very high speed even on the busy streets.
In a separate news on the Yamuna Expressway, an unknown vehicle collided with an Eeco car travelling from Noida to Agra, severely damaging the vehicle. Six people, including a father and his two sons, lost their lives in the crash, while two women were seriously injured. The accident occurred at around 3:30 in the morning near milestone 140, village Sarai Salwan, in the Baldev police station area.
