Telangana Weather Update: The India Meteorological Department (IMD) has stated that several districts are likely to witness a cold wave for the next three days. The weather department stated that the minimum temperature is set to remain below normal in the upcoming days. It asserted that several regions are also expected to witness dense fog in the early hours, disrupting the train and flight services. The weather department also stated that the intensity of the cold will remain higher due to the easterly winds. It advised the residents to follow the guidelines and limit their outings to avoid any inconveniences.

While providing details, the weather department stated that several districts, including Adilabad, Medak, Patancheru, Hanamkonda, Nalgonda, Nizamabad, Ramagundam, and Rajendra Nagar, are set to witness a cold wave and fog for the next few days. These districts are set to record a minimum temperature of 3.1 to 5 degrees Celsius below normal in the upcoming days.

However, the IMD clarified that the capital city Hyderabad is not likely to witness a further drop in temperature in the next few days. It clarified that both minimum and maximum temperatures are expected to stay around normal for the next 4 to 5 days.

"For the next 3 to 4 days, temperatures in Hyderabad are likely to remain normal to above normal, while both minimum and maximum temperatures are expected to stay around normal for the next 4 to 5 days," Meteorologist A Srinivasa Rao was quoted as saying by ANI.

The weather department has advised the residents to limit their outings in the early hours to avoid inconveniences. Along with Telangana, several other states, including Karnataka, Tamil Nadu, Kerala, and Maharashtra, are also likely to witness cold waves and fog for the next few days.
