Telangana Weather Update: The India Meteorological Department (IMD) on Sunday stated that several districts of Telangana are likely to witness moderate to heavy rainfall for the next two to three days. The weather department stated that along with heavy rainfall, the coastal regions are also expected to witness thunderstorms and gusty winds. The IMD also stated that the continuous rainfall is likely to lead to issues like waterlogging and power outages in several key cities, including the capital city, Hyderabad. The weather department has advised the residents to follow the guidelines and limit their outings to avoid any inconveniences.
While providing details, the weather department stated that several districts, including Bhuvanagiri, Rangareddy, and Jangaon, and the districts of Hanmakonda, Warangal, Mahabubabad, Suryapet, Nalgonda, Bhadradri, Kothagudem, and Khammam are likely to witness heavy to very heavy rainfall for the next two days. Along with the heavy rainfall, these districts are also likely to witness strong surface winds, leading to inconveniences.

Apart from this, several other districts, including Karimnagar, Mulugu, Jayashankar, and Bhupalpally, are also set to receive moderate to heavy rainfall for the next few days. The capital city Hyderabad witnessed heavy rainfall on Saturday and in the early hours of Sunday, leading to waterlogging in the lower areas. The authorities stated that the continuous rainfall has affected the traffic movement in these regions.
The continuous rainfall has severely affected lifestyle in multiple areas, including Patancheru, Lingampalli, RCIPuram, Quthbullapur, Gajularamaram, Nizampet, Sherlingampalli, Gachibowli, Miyapur, and Kukatpally. The rainfall in the upcoming days is also likely to lead to a drop in temperature by two to three degrees Celsius.

The IMD has advised the fishermen of the coastal regions to follow the guidelines and maintain a distance from the water bodies for the next few days. Apart from Telangana, several other states, including Tamil Nadu, Karnataka, and Kerala, are also likely to receive rainfall.
