Uttar Pradesh Weather: Uttar Pradesh’s weather is set to undergo a noticeable shift within the next 24 hours. The Meteorological Department has issued an alert for fog and a drop in temperatures across several districts. After days of clear skies following Cyclone Montha, parts of the state especially eastern UP may soon experience colder mornings and hazy conditions as winter gradually sets in.

The impact of Cyclone Montha was recently visible across eastern Uttar Pradesh, including Lucknow and nearby areas. However, the weather pattern is now changing, and the India Meteorological Department (IMD) has forecast warmer nights in November due to a higher-than-normal average minimum temperature this month.

According to IMD experts, weak La Nina conditions persisting over the Pacific Ocean, combined with a negative Indian Ocean Dipole, could lead to above-average rainfall in some parts of the state during November.

Uttar Pradesh Weather: Check IMD Forecast for Today

On November 3, both western and eastern Uttar Pradesh are expected to witness dry weather, with shallow to moderate fog likely in a few areas. No rain or strong winds are expected during this period. Similar dry and clear weather is predicted for November 4, 5, and 6, extending through November 7 and 8 as well.

Despite clear skies on Sunday, daytime temperatures remained below normal in many UP districts. The exit of cyclonic clouds has heightened anticipation for the next weather change, possibly triggered by an incoming western disturbance.

In Kanpur, the maximum temperature on Sunday was recorded at 30.4 degrees C, which is 1.3 degrees C below normal, while the minimum temperature was 19.6 degrees C, about 2.9 degrees C higher than average.

As weather patterns fluctuate, a pollution-related haze is likely to form during the early morning and late evening hours, lasting till around 11 am. An increase in wind speed could bring a slight dip in nighttime temperatures.

Meteorologist Mohammad Danish said that skies will remain clear and sunny on November 2 and 3, while cloudy conditions with light rain could develop on November 4.

Following the dissipation of Cyclone Montha’s influence originating from the Bay of Bengal, Uttar Pradesh will continue to experience dry and stable weather for the next few days. However, due to a western disturbance affecting the Western Himalayan region between November 4-5, partial cloud cover may appear in northern parts of the state. During this period, the minimum temperature could first drop by about 2degrees C, then rise slightly, before falling again by 2–3 degrees C over the next 48 hours.

The long-term forecast suggests that the Terai region may record above-normal maximum daytime temperatures in November, while other regions might see slightly below-normal highs. In contrast, nighttime temperatures are likely to remain above average across most parts of Uttar Pradesh.

Additionally, shallow to moderate fog could develop in Purvanchal and Terai areas during the mornings of November 3–4, which will gradually clear as the day progresses. Overall, dry weather will persist, but morning fog and fluctuating temperatures will bring a touch of winter chill to the state.
