Telangana Weather Update: The India Meteorological Department (IMD) on Sunday stated that several districts of Telangana are set to witness moderate to heavy rainfall for the next two to three days. The weather department stated that along with the rainfall, multiple regions are also likely to witness thunderstorms and gusty winds. The continuous rainfall is expected to disrupt the daily lives of the residents by leading to situations like waterlogging and power outages in several cities. The weather department has advised the residents to follow the guidelines and limit their outings to avoid any inconveniences.

While providing details, the weather department stated that the surface circulation that continued in the south coastal Andhra region on Saturday moved to the southwest Bay of Bengal region on Sunday morning. The situation is expected to lead to rainfall in several parts of the state, along with strong surface winds. The weather department stated that there is a possibility of scattered rains accompanied by gusty winds of 30 to 40 kmph in some districts of the state on Monday and Tuesday.

The IMD stated that several districts, including Jayashankar, Bhupalpally, Mulugu, Kothagudem, Khammam, Nalgonda, Suryapet, and Mahabubabad, are likely to witness light to moderate rainfall on Monday. It further stated that the other districts, such as Peddapalli, Bhupalapally, Mulugu, Kothagudem, Khammam, Nalgonda, Suryapet, Mahabubabad, Warangal, Hanmakonda, Jangaon, Nagarkurnool, Wanaparthy, Jogulamba, and Gadwal, are expected to receive rainfall on Tuesday.

The weather department also stated that most of these districts are also likely to witness rainfall on Wednesday. The capital city Hyderabad witnessed heavy rainfall last month, leading to traffic disruption in several key areas of the city. Apart from Telangana, several other states, including Andhra Pradesh, Karnataka, Kerala, and Maharashtra, are also likely to witness light to heavy rainfall for the next few days.
