Telangana Weather Update: The India Meteorological Department (IMD) on Monday stated that several districts of Telangana are likely to witness light to heavy rainfall for the next few days. While providing details, the weather department stated that eight districts will receive heavy to very heavy rainfall on Monday, adding that the other regions are expected to receive light rain. The continuous rain is set to provide relief from the scorching heat by reducing the temperature by two to four degrees Celsius. The weather department has advised the residents to follow the guidelines and limit their outings to avoid any inconveniences.
Telangana weather: Several districts to witness rain on Monday
- The IMD stated that multiple districts, including Khammam, Bhadradri Kothagudem, Jayashankar Bhupalpally, Komaram Bheem, Mahabubabad, Mancherial, Mulugu, Peddapalli, and Warangal, are set to witness moderate to heavy rain.
- Apart from this, the other districts, including Hyderabad, Adilabad, Hanumakonda, Jagtial, Jangaon, Karimnagar, Medchal Malkajgiri, Nalgonda, Nirmal, Rajanna Sircilla, Ranga Reddy, Siddipet, Suryapet, and Yadadri Bhuvanagiri, are expected to witness light to moderate rain.
- Most of the Telangana districts are also likely to witness thunderstorms and strong surface winds.
- The excessive rain might also lead to situations like waterlogging in several key cities, including Hyderabad and Khammam.
Telangana weather: Rain to continue on Tuesday
- The IMD stated that several districts, including Vizianagaram, Parvathypuram, Alluri Seetharamaraju, Visakhapatnam, Anakapalle and Kakinada, are likely to witness heavy rain.
- Light to moderate rain is expected at some places in the Srikakulam, Konaseema, East Godavari, West Godavari, Eluru, and Krishna districts.

- The weather department has advised the fishermen to limit their financial activities and maintain distance from the water bodies to avoid any inconveniences.
- Apart from Telangana, several other states, including Karnataka, Maharashtra, Gujarat, and Kerala, are also likely to witness rain for the next few days.
