Telangana Weather Update: An extreme heat wave is still plaguing Telangana State, with many districts seeing average maximum temperatures of over 45 degrees Celsius over the last 24 hours. At least 15 distinct sites around the state saw sweltering temperatures between 45.1 and 45.3 degrees Celsius between Wednesday and Thursday (8:30 am).

According to data from the Telangana Development Planning Society (TSDPS), the highest recorded maximum temperatures were 45.3 degrees Celsius in Malkapur, Nizamabad (district), and Kondur (Nandipet) in Nizamabad district. These were followed by Kammarpally (Nizamabad), Tamsi (Adilabad), and Kubeer (Nirmal district) with 45.2 degrees Celsius. At Butapir (Nirmal), Ramnagar (Adilabad), Mosra (Nizamabad), and Pembi in the Nirmal district, the highest recorded temperature was 45.1 degrees Celsius.

The Nirmal district's Narsapur (NirmalO), Devulawada (Mancherial), Magidi (Nizamabad), Talamadugu (Adilabad), Bheemini (Mancherial), and Kaddam Peddur recorded the highest temperature of 45 degrees Celsius. The districts most severely impacted by the heat wave were Nizamabad, Nirmal, Adilabad, and Mancherial, with maximum temperatures ranging from 45 to 45.3 degrees Celsius.

The highest recorded temperature in Hyderabad was 42.5 degrees Celsius at Jubilee Hills, and 42.2 degrees Celsius in LB Nagar. At 30 distinct sites in Hyderabad, the highest temperatures ranged from 41 to 42.5 degrees Celsius.
