Meaning: Air is the teacher, water the father, and the great earth the mother. Day and night are the two nurses, through whose care the entire world plays (lives).
15. "धनु धरनी अरु संपति सगरी जो मानिओ अपनाई। तन छूटै कुछ संग न चालै, कहा ताहि लपटाई॥"
"Dhan dharani aru sampati sagri jo maniyo apnai. Tan chhootai kuchh sang na chaalai, kaha taahi laptaai."
Meaning: People consider wealth, land, and possessions as their own. But when the body departs, nothing goes along — then why cling to them?
16. "साचा साहिबु साचु नाइ भाखिआ भाउ अपारु। आखहि मंगहि देहि देहि दाति करै दातारु॥"
