Top 10 Indian States With Largest Gen Z Population: India is known as one of the youngest in the world due to the large population of Gen Z here. Generation Z include those who were born between the year 1997 to 2012, and they are currently the most active and dynamic group in society.  This generation is tech-savvy, ambitious, and open to new ideas, which makes them a powerful driving force for the nation’s future growth.

There are states in India where Gen Z represents a significant percentage of the population. As per a recent survey by India in Pixels, Bihar is the youngest state in India, with 32.5% of its population falling into this generation. With over 30% of the population in Gen Z, Jammu and Kashmir and Uttar Pradesh are in close pursuit. Young people are also very prevalent in other states, such as Rajasthan, Assam, Madhya Pradesh and Odisha.

1. Bihar

With 32.5% of its population falling into the Gen Z demographic, Bihar tops the list and has the largest Gen Z population in India. The state is one of the most vibrant and forward-thinking in the nation because of its youthful population, which includes a large number of kids and teenagers.

2. Jammu and Kashmir

In Jammu and Kashmir, 30.8% of the population is Gen Z, which makes it the second state with the highest Gen Z population. The future of education, technology, and social development in the area is significantly shaped by this sizable youth population, which also contributes new ideas and vitality.

3. Uttar Pradesh

Uttar Pradesh is one of the youngest states in India, with 30% of its population being Gen Z; it ranks third. The state has enormous potential in terms of workforce, innovation, and digital growth because of its large youth population.

4. Rajasthan

Ranking 4th, the population of Gen Z in Rajasthan is 29.2%. The state can advance in areas like education, tourism and technology with the help of the young people here, who are renowned for their inventiveness and dynamism.

5. Assam

Assam has a 28.6% Gen Z population, and Assamese children are becoming more interested in education, culture and digital platforms, all of which will support the state's economic and cultural development. Assam is in 5th place in the Gen Z population in India.

6. Madhya Pradesh

Madhya Pradesh has a Gen Z population of 28.2%. The youth of the state will be crucial in determining the direction of its economy in the future due to its youthful workforce and growing interest in digital skills and startups.

7. Chhattisgarh

Ranking in 7th place, Chhattisgarh has 27.8% of its population who are Gen Z. The young generation here is showing interest in technology and skill development, which can help boost industries and new opportunities.

8. Haryana

Gen Z makes up 26.6% of the population in Haryana, and so they are eighth largest state with Gen Zers. This state's youth are a powerful force for its development because they are particularly involved in entrepreneurship, sports, and education.

9. Odisha

Gujarat ranks 11th overall and 10th in terms of state, and has a 25.7% Gen Z population. Young people in Gujarat like their culture, like Garba dances and also enjoy modern things. They work hard and are good at business too, helping Gujarat grow a lot.
