Top 10 Countries With Best Work-Life Balance In 2024: ‘Work-life balance’- something that should have been a greater concern decades ago while the country was making its Labour Laws, reduced to mere words as people continuously ‘preached’ the ‘hymns of overworking’. In fact, the line between ‘hard work’ and ‘overworking’ gradually faded away, as many organisations began to recognise ‘poor work-life balance’ as the only sign of ‘loyalty and growth’. Fast forward to 2024- the peak of the type of hustle culture where employees are even suggested and expected to work 70 hours per week- only now people have begun to see the back draws. Terms like ‘toxic work culture’- despite existing for decades- are now becoming mainstream, mainly after a young and talented youth reportedly lost her life due to an ‘overwhelming workload’.

For those unaware, 26-year-old CA Anna Sebastian Perayil working in Pune’s multinational consulting firm Ernst & Young (EY), died due to overworking, as per her mother Anita Augustine.
