Rajasthan will have 41 districts, 33 existing ones and 8 new ones, and also 7 divisions as previously," - The Parliamentary Affairs Minister, Jogaram Patel, addressed the media during a press conference held after the meeting to nullify the newly formed districts of Rajasthan in December 2024."

Madhya Pradesh: New Districts

Madhya Pradesh too has witnessed new district formation, which showcases the state's focus on more detailed governance. Here’s a list of new districts formed in Madhya Pradesh over the past few years:

Local populations' demands frequently push for adding new districts like, to deliver government schemes efficiently, and the need to ensure that remote or fast-developing urban settlements are given proper administrative attention.
