Federal Bureau of Investigation (FBI) on Sunday said it was yet to identify the shooter who shot at former US President Donald Trump during the latter’s poll rally in Pennsylvania. The Intelligence and Security Service Agency of the United States (US) said it would notify the media only when they are completely sure about the case. "At this time, we are not prepared to identify who the shooter is. We are nearing that identification. Once we are completely confident in the individual's identity, we will disclose it to the press," NDTV quoted FBI Special Agent Kevin Rojek as saying in the press conference.
The FBI official also noted uncertainty regarding the motive behind the assassination attempt, which resulted in one fatality and critically injured two others.

The agency said a comprehensive probe was launched in the case and anyone aware of the matter has been asked to inform the law enforcement bodies. "We are working closely with other federal agencies, our state partners and our local police partners as well," the FBI said in a post.
As per reports, multiple rounds were fired at the US presidential nominee, Donald Trump, while he was addressing a poll rally in Butler. The former US president said one of the bullets had pierced the upper part of his ear. Trump’s assassination bid was foiled, however, one person was killed and two others were critically injured. Visuals depicted Secret Service agents guiding the former President to safety, with bloodstains visible on his ears.
US President Joe Biden, besides political leaders from across the world, has expressed his anguish over the incident.
“I have been briefed on the shooting at Donald Trump’s rally in Pennsylvania. I’m grateful to hear that he’s safe and doing well. I’m praying for him and his family and for all those who were at the rally, as we await further information. Jill and I are grateful to the Secret Service for getting him to safety. There’s no place for this kind of violence in America. We must unite as one nation to condemn it,” Biden posted on X.
