Actor Brad Pitt has always kept his personal life under wraps. He has never been someone who spills the beans about his private life. Finally, after legally splitting from his ex-wife, actress Angelina Jolie, the F1 star has now gotten candid about his personal life on several occasions. Recently, the actor was seen talking about his separation, mainly downplaying the whole part. Brad Pitt recalled the phase of alcohol addiction after divorcing Angelina Jolie and how Alcoholics Anonymous (AA) helped him out in those rough times.
Brad Pitt, in a conversation with actor Dax Shepard on his Armchair Expert podcast, revealed that AA was an absolute game-changer for him. Talking about sharing his experience, he said, “Actually, I am quite at ease, not nervous at all. It was a men’s group, and it was my first time getting sober, and I just thought there was an incredible level of ‘sharing’ – listening to people’s experiences, their foibles, missteps, wants and aches – and there was a lot of humour with it. Coming from the background or situations I have been raised in, where you just pretend like everything is okay, it was a great feeling. I just needed to reboot and wake up.”

After keeping his struggles a secret for several years, the F1 star talked about how the failure of his second marriage drove him to seek some help. He shared, "I was pretty much on my knees. I needed to wake the f*** up in some areas. I was really open to it. I was trying anything anyone threw at me. It was a difficult time. I needed rebooting. It gives you permission to go, 'OK, I'm gonna step out on this edge and see what happens'."
On the cinematic front, Brad Pitt is currently gearing up for the release of his upcoming sports drama, F1, on June 27, 2025. He will be seen playing the role of racing veteran Sonny Hayes, who returns to Formula One in order to save his old teammates' racing team.
