Peaky Blinders Movie Announcement: Cillian Murphy is currently one of the most popular actors in the world and has always impressed audiences with his stellar performances. One of his most loved roles is Tommy Shelby from the Netflix series 'Peaky Blinders', which ended in 2022. Cillian Murphy is all set to return as Tommy Shelby in a 'Peaky Blinders' movie. Netflix has now officially announced the project and Cillian Murphy will also serve as the executive producer.

Announcing the movie, Netflix wrote, "Tommy Shelby returns. A Peaky Blinders Film starring Cillian Murphy is coming to Netflix."

Cillian Murphy said, "It seems like Tommy Shelby wasn’t finished with me…It is very gratifying to be recollaborating with Steven Knight and Tom Harper on the film version of Peaky Blinders. This is one for the fans."

The creator of the show, Steven Knight, earlier confirmed the reports at the premiere of the new BBC drama 'The Town'. While speaking to Birmingham World, he said, "He definitely is returning for it. We’re shooting it in September just down the road in Digbeth."

Earlier, in an interview with Rolling Stone UK, Cillian talked about the possibility of him returning to 'Peaky Blinders'. He said, "If there’s more story there, I’d love to do it. But it has to be right. Steve Knight wrote 36 hours of television, and we left on such a high. I’m really proud of that last series. So, it would have to feel legitimate and justified to do more.”
