The infamous Coldplay kiss-cam controversy shook the entire nation. On July 16, 2025, ex-Astronomer CEO Andy Byron and former HR executive Kristin Cabot were caught canoodling at the Coldplay concert when the jumbotron at Gillette Stadium suddenly panned to them. The incident led to both Byron and Cabot resigning from their positions at Astronomer, with the company stating that their leaders are expected to maintain high standards of conduct and accountability. However, a recent report has claimed that Byron and Cabot were merely 'friends' when they were caught in a romantic embrace.
Andy Byron and Kristin Cabot were 'just friends'
According to People, a source close to Cabot stated that their relationship was strictly professional and friendly, with no romantic involvement. The viral moment sparked widespread speculation about an alleged affair, but the source insists that Cabot and Byron had an "excellent working relationship" and a "great friendship".
The source said, "There was no affair. It was inappropriate to be hugging your boss at a concert, and she accepts full responsibility for it. But the scandal, the downfall, the loss of the job – all of that is unfair."
