The British rock band Coldplay dedicated their Nashville show to the legendary late singer Ozzy Osbourne after his demise on July 22. The band's frontman Chris Martin and his fellow members performed a cover of the 1972 ballad ‘Changes’ by Black Sabbath. Prince of Darkness breathed his last at the age of 76 after a yearslong struggle with Parkinson's disease. He left behind a memorable musical legacy. Osbourne's family confirmed his death on social media. Since then, tributes have been pouring in. Coldplay also paid tribute in remembrance of the lead vocalist of Black Sabbath. The video of their performance has been circulating online.
Osbourne made his last appearance on stage two weeks ago, Osbourne performed from a throne on stage at Villa Park with his bandmates. During his Black Sabbath's "Back to The Beginning" concert, he was heard telling fans, "You've no idea how I feel -- thank you from the bottom of my heart." The show has a star-studded lineup of performances by Metallica and Guns N' Roses and others.
Before Colplay kicked off their show, a fan posted a clip on X from outside Nissan Stadium, where the British band could be heard performing "Changes" during soundcheck. Later that evening, Coldplay frontman Chris Martin addressed the crowd with a heartfelt dedication to the Black Sabbath co-founder, according to a People report.
"We'd like to dedicate this whole show to the incredible genius, talent, and character called gift to the world who was Ozzy Osbourne. We send our love to his family," Chris Martin said in a viral video from the concert shared on TikTok.
After playing the soulful rendition of "Changes, Coldplay frontman said, "Ozzy, we love you, wherever you're going."

The iconic Black Sabbath frontman earlier in his 2011 autobiography 'I Am Ozzy' revealed the inspiration behind the song's lyrics, which were based on the end of guitarist Bill Ward's first marriage. For Changes, Ozbourne collaborated with Black Sabbath's bassist and lyricist, Geezer Butler.

Yungblud also shared a tribute to Osbourne following his death on his Instagram.
"I will never forget you - you will be in every single note I sing and with me every single time I walk on stage. Your cross around my neck is the most precious thing I own. You asked me once if there was anything you could do for me and as I said then and as I will say now for all of us the music was enough. You took us on your adventure - an adventure that started it all. I am truly heartbroken. You were the greatest of all time."
On July 22, Osbourne's family in a statement shared on X confirmed the demise of rock star by stating, “It is with more sadness than mere words can convey that we have to report that our beloved Ozzy Osbourne has passed away this morning. He was with his family and surrounded by love. We ask everyone to respect our family privacy at this time." He is survived by his wife Sharon and six children.
