2017: Chris Martin and Dakota Johnson go on a dinner date

Johnson and Martin sparked romance rumours when they were spotted on a dinner date in LA. A source told PEOPLE that the pair was "ozy, laughing and affectionate." After a month, she also attended Coldplay concert.

2018: Johnson and Martin were spotted on several low-key dates in LA. They were even spotted strolling arm in arm on a beach in California. The couple made first public appearance at Stella McCartney's Autumn 2018 Collection, where they used a private entrance, skipping to make their red carpet debut. "They walked in holding hands and Dakota was not letting go – she was super into the PDA. When Chris let go of her hand, she slipped her arm through his," a source told PEOPLE.
Later, Dakota's faher confirmed her relationship status with Martin.

Dakota Johnson's mom Melanie Griffith opened up about her daughter's relationship with Coldplay star. "I adore him!" she said. Talking about her daughter, she added, "She is very private about her life and I respect that."

I don't see a reason to do it if you don't have children together. We’ve learned how to communicate with each other. We love each other. We laugh. We have the best of each other. It’s really nice.
