Exciting update for Harry Potter fans. After announcing the cast of the three main roles for the highly awaited HBO Harry Potter TV series, a storm of excitement was created. Now, the makers have revealed the casting for the iconic character Cornelius Fudge. Tony and Olivier Award-winning actor Bertie Carvel has joined the high-profile TV adaptation. Carvel, known for The Crown and Dalgliesh, will be entering the wizarding world, which is buzzing with new talent. The main trio includes Dominic McLaughlin as Harry Potter, Alastair Stout as Ron Weasley, and Arabella Stanton as Hermione Granger.
Bertie Carvel is set to portray Minister of Magic Cornelius Fudge, a character previously brought to life by Robert Hardy in the film series. Hardy notably appeared in four consecutive movies, starting with Harry Potter and the Chamber of Secrets, as per Deadline.
While HBO has not officially confirmed casting details about the series but a network representative said, "We appreciate that such a high-profile series will draw a lot of rumour and speculation. As we make our way through pre-production, we will only confirm details as we finalize deals," quoted by Deadline.
