House Of Guinness OTT Release: Netflix has earlier this year announced the release date for House of Guinness, a brand-new drama from Peaky Blinders creator Steven Knight. The eight-part series premiered on 25th September 2025, taking viewers deep into the world of one of Ireland’s most iconic families. Set in the 1860s, the story follows the Guinness dynasty as they deal with a bitter succession battle after the death of their patriarch.

House Of Guinness web series begins with the death of Sir Benjamin Guinness, who leaves behind not only his legendary brewery but also a complicated will. His decision forces his two eldest sons, Arthur and Edward, to share leadership of the empire. This uneasy arrangement sets the stage for loyalty, rivalry, and betrayal as the siblings, along with their sister Anne and younger brother Ben, fight to protect or claim their legacy. The drama unfolds across Dublin and New York, with the Guinness family navigating political unrest, shifting fortunes, and personal ambition. Knight has described the story as one of inheritance and desire, drawing comparisons to HBO’s Succession but firmly rooted in real history.

On the other hand, each of the eight episodes runs between 45 minutes and an hour, making it a binge-worthy watch for Netflix audiences. Early reviews and fan reactions on X (formerly Twitter) highlight its dark atmosphere, morally complex characters, and gripping narrative. Many have praised Knight for bringing the same intensity and musical flair that made Peaky Blinders a global hit.

House Of Guinness Cast And Characters

The show features a strong cast, with Anthony Boyle playing Arthur and Louis Partridge as Edward, the reluctant co-leaders of the brewery. Emily Fairn takes on the role of Anne, while Flonn O’Shea plays Ben. James Norton appears as Sean Rafferty, the brewery’s foreman, adding further tension to the power struggle. The wider ensemble includes Dervla Kirwan as Aunt Agnes Guinness, Seamus O’Hara as Patrick Cochrane, Niamh McCormack as Ellen Cochrane, and Jack Gleeson as Byron Hedges. Together, they bring to life the political intrigue and personal drama of the Guinness dynasty.

Meanwhile, House of Guinness is produced by Kudos, with Steven Knight serving as creator and executive producer. The series is directed by Tom Shankland and Mounia Akl, who promise to deliver a visually rich period drama with authentic settings and high production values. Lavish sets, a gritty tone, and Knight’s trademark storytelling style ensure the series will appeal to fans of Peaky Blinders while offering something new.
