Joaquin Phoenix and Lady Gaga starrer Joker: Folie Deux created history even before it hit the screens as the trailer crossed 167 million views within 24 hours of its release. Directed by Todd Phillips, the film Joker: Folie Deux revolves around a man Arthur Fleck, a comedian who failed in his career. Fleck met the love of his life Harley Quinn played by Lady Gaga when he was imprisoned at Arkham State Hospital. 

The Joker 2 trailer was released on 10th April and was trending at number 4th in YouTube videos even after 48 hours of its release.

Lady Gaga’s social media presence made a huge impact on gaining the numbers for the Joker: Folie Deux trailer as per the report in Variety. The movie is set to have a highly musical touch. Apart from Joaquin Phoenix and Lady Gaga as the leads, the film also stars Beetz, Brendan Gleeson, Catherine Keener, Jacob Lofland, Steve Coogan, Ken Leung, Harry Lawtey and others. As per a report in Variety, the trailer’s views and social media engagement have beaten the Margot Robbie-starrer, Barbie. The Margot Robbie and Ryan Gosling-starrer has made a box office collection of 144.56 crores USD worldwide. 

Joaquin Phoenix playing the titular character in Joker: Folie Deux has received an Oscar for the first part of the film. The film Joker revolves around a party clown named Arthur Fleck who lives with his ailing mother. After society starts avoiding him and calling him a freak, he decides to join the crime world.

The first part of the film collected $1.079 billion at the box office worldwide. Joker had a powerful cast of actors including Robert De Niro, Zazie Beetz, Glenn Fleshler, Frances Conroy, Bryan Callen, Brian Tyree Henry and others. 

The trailer of Joker: Folie Deux was first released at Warner Bros.’s CinemaCon for some selected audiences. Joker: Folie Deux will be released in theatres on 4th October.
