According to recent reports, the upcoming movie is expected to introduce a "new Jurassic era." This implies that the roles played by Chris Pratt and Bryce Dallas Howard, who were first seen in the movie Jurassic World directed by Colin Trevorrow in 2015, may not be featured in the new film. This was followed by Jurassic World: Fallen Kingdom, directed by J.A. Bayona, in 2015.

It's unlikely that Sam Neill, Laura Dern, and Jeff Goldblum will reprise their roles from the original Jurassic Park movies in the upcoming fourth instalment of Jurassic World. These three actors starred alongside Chris Pratt and Bryce Dallas Howard in Dominion. Steven Spielberg is going to produce the movie through his company Amblin Entertainment.
